Haris Rauf, who made a jets crashing gesture coupled with a 6-0 sign, has found support from his wife who posted about it on social media. On the field, India had an easy time of beating Pakistan and keeping themselves unbeaten in the tournament.

A controversy erupted following India's six-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super 4s in Dubai on Sunday, when Haris Rauf's wife posted an Instagram story showing her husband making a "6-0" hand gesture. She added to it with the caption "Lost the match but won the battle."The "6-0" gesture carries significance in the context of claims made by Pakistan regarding their defensive response to Operation Sindoor, where they claimed to have brought down six Indian Rafael fighter jets in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack.

During the match, Haris Rauf displayed a hand signal depicting a plane "drowning," which was interpreted as symbolising Indian fighter planes. He then proceeded to use his fingers to make the '6-0' gesture while fielding on the boundary rope.

On the field, the India dominated the chase against Pakistan from the beginning. The opening partnership between Shubman Gill and Abhishek set the tone for India's 6-wicket win.The match featured heightened tensions as verbal exchanges occurred between India's opening batters - Gill and Abhishek - and Pakistani bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf. Despite Pakistan claiming some wickets after the drinks break, India maintained control throughout the chase.
Abhishek Sharma's innings of 74 runs, featuring several powerful sixes, particularly against Abrar Ahmed over mid-wicket, stood out as the highlight of the match. The Men in Blue romped to the finish line with 7 balls to spare.The victory kept India unbeaten in the tournament and need one more win from two matches, against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, to qualify for the final. Pakistan can get there but need to beat both these teams to go through without any last minute hiccups.
