Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy have returned for India’s high-voltage clash against Pakistan on Sunday, September 21, in the Asia Cup 2025. The duo replaced Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana. Notably, Arshdeep was left out after becoming the fastest pacer to take 100 T20I wickets and the first Indian to reach this landmark in Men’s T20Is.
After winning the toss, Suryakumar Yadav’s men opted to field first. India enter the Super 4 stage having won all three group matches, though they had to fight hard in their last game, edging past Oman by 21 runs. Suryakumar described the upcoming clash against Pakistan as “just another game.”
"Looks like a nice track, and there was dew yesterday. From the first round, we’ve been approaching it as a knockout tournament—nothing changes. That wicket in Abu Dhabi was completely different. This is quite normal, just another game,” Suryakumar said at the toss.
India finished the group stage atop the points table with six points and a net run rate of +3.547. They comfortably defeated Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) before having to battle past Jatinder Singh’s Oman.
